# How can I receive news on the MT5?

To receive news updates on the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform, follow these steps:

Enable News:
 • Click on ‘Tools’ in the top menu.
 • Select ‘Options’ from the dropdown menu.
 • In the ‘Options’ window, go to the ‘Server’ tab. You can find your server on your WB Portal or App under Account Details.
 • Tick the checkbox next to ‘Enable News’ to allow news updates

View News:
 • Open the ‘Toolbox’ window by pressing Ctrl+T or by selecting 'View' > 'Toolbox' from the menu.
 • Navigate to the ‘News’ tab within the ‘Toolbox’ window. Here, you will see a list of incoming news items, including their time of arrival, topic, and category

Reading News:
 • Double-click on any news item to read the full content.
 • You can also right-click on a news item to copy it to the clipboard or to customize the news categories display

Customizing News Feeds:
 • Some brokers allow you to customize the news feed by selecting specific categories or sources. Check with your broker if this feature is available
